Internal Fire Slight problem with the Post Office!

Museum Newsletters went out to all the Life Members just before New Year (Annual Members are going today).

These went out in A4 envelopes and Hazel took them down to the local Post Office and paid Large Letter 2nd Class. Unfortuantely it seems that ordinary 2nd Class stamps went on and people are having to pay to get their Newsletter!

If you can let us know what you have paid and whether you refused the letter we can sort out a refund or a replacement Newsletter.

We signed up for the Royal Mail Smart Stamp system this morning and will print our own postage from now on!

Local Post Office has apologised to everyone for the mistake.

I had dealings with royal mail the other day, i use online royal mail postage for ebay items up to 20kg , and was then told that 15kg was the maximum in the post office for drop off , so i can buy 20kg but cant drop it off any where ?? god bless them.

Paul, I trust that the post office concerned are meeting all your costs as they failed to provide the service paid for.

Postman hasn't been here since before Christmas, so I haven't had to pay a penny :-)
